Offering laboratory, field and semi-field studies, our team of specialists conducts both GEP and GLP studies and has vast experience with US and global regulations. Our dedicated scientists can perform a wide array of studies to support products used in public health, animal health and plant health.

Urban Pest Control Solutions

With a limited number of CROs specializing in this sector that are able to offer a diverse service portfolio and geographical coverage around the world, regulatory pressure on formulators and registrants has increased. There are more demands than ever in new product development support.

As part a global network of laboratories, ERSS scientists have worked with more than 50 arthropod species, including mosquitos, bedbugs, flies, cockroaches, ants, ticks, wasps, hornets, fleas, spiders and scorpions.

Eurofins Regulatory Science Services’ public health and animal health testing capabilities include:

  • Bio-efficacy dossier development to support product registrations.
  • GLP laboratory and field efficacy studies.
  • Laboratory formulation screening with direct spray and/or residual efficacy bioassay.
  • Semi-field residual efficacy.
  • Arena testing for baits, attractants, repellents and monitors.
  • Field efficacy testing against flying and crawling insects.

Our UPCS services include:

  • Termiticide dissipation and persistency study.
  • Field to laboratory or greenhouse to laboratory translational study.
  • Greenhouse and field formulation screening against diseases, weeds and insects on wide variety of turf and ornamental species.
  • Laboratory and field efficacy testing against flying and crawling insects.
  • Phytotoxicity.
  • Non-target arthropod exposure study

Vector Control

In recent years, there has been an increasing awareness of public health and vector control. The only methods to reduce the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases are to control vector species and to protect against mosquito bites. ERSS can help.

ERSS can partner with local CROs or government funded research institutes to offer global study directorship for countries without OECD GLP; we project manage all studies and trials placed in the country. With unparalleled global coverage, studies are conducted in both Northern and Southern hemispheres to shorten product development timelines, providing significant cost savings.

Vector control testing capabilities include:

  • Laboratory phase I formulation screening
  • WHO resistance monitoring
  • Indoor or outdoor residual sprays
  • Indoor space sprays
  • Outdoor ground or aerial ULV sprays
  • Indoor or outdoor spatial repellency Larvicide
