Photo: ICB Pharma<\/p><\/div>\n<p>ICB Pharma has announced it has a new Head of Pest Innovations Department; after one and a half years as the Head of Marketing, Krzysztof Pekala has taken on the additional responsibilities of this new role. The company\u2019s strategy for 2020-2023 and the expected rapid development of the Innovations department required restructuring and reinforcing of the existing structures in the Project Management team, which will now be managed by the current Head of Pest Innovations, Sylwia Kurdziel-Pajor.<\/p>\n<p>ICB Pharma is a Polish company and its goal has been very clear to everyone involved in the company: \u201cto provide innovative, safe and efficient solutions for the control of biological threats.\u201d The company follows the global trends in chemistry and biology but strives to set new standards with innovation in the sector. Photo: ICB Pharma<\/p><\/div>\n<p>What started as a \u201cgarage company\u201d with one bait station for pharaoh ants is now an award-winning company with registered trademarks and patented products sold all around the world. The opening of new premises in 2015 was a landmark in the history of ICB Pharma and created a new space for its R&amp;D Department. Science is in the DNA of ICB Pharma; its patron is an esteemed chemist and a two times Nobel prize nominee, Professor Wojciech Swietoslawski, a great grandfather of the owners of the company.<\/p>\n<p>Until just recently ICB Pharma was divided into three separate departments; Health Care, Crop Solution, and Pest Innovations each with its own team of specialists. The success of its Animal Husbandry products has encouraged ICB Pharma to open a fourth department, dedicated exclusively to products for farm animals and pets. Photo: Newpharm\u00ae<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Newpharm\u00ae has announced the appointment of Stefano Scarponi as its Italian Sales Manager for the IPM\/Professional sector and as Export Sales Director for all product lines.<\/p>\n<p>Stefano Scarponi can boast almost twenty years\u2019 experience in the professional pest control sector which started with O.S.D. Gruppo Ecotech. More recently he was with Bleu Line Group where he held the position of Export Sales Director.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the inclusion of this new member of our team,\u201d explains Dr. Dionisio Bagarollo, President and founder of Newpharm, \u201cwe have confirmed our ability to attract talented people from the most prestigious of companies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStefano has the task of growing the Italian customer portfolio of the new professional IPM Division by creating a national network of Regional Area Managers able to technically and commercially support Italian PCOs. He succeeds Dr Robert Martin who is retiring after 22 years of service.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from New Zealand, Mr Hern has forged an impressive international career in the speciality chemical industry. Starting as a field trials technician in New Zealand, his subsequent roles have covered product management, marketing and business unit management. This includes country, region and global posts in New Zealand, Australia, Switzerland and the UK.<\/p>\n<p>In his new role, Mr Hern will oversee the Environmental Health Division of Sumitomo Chemical covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Hern commented \u201cSumitomo Chemical has invested heavily in regulatory activity. It has by far the largest number of insecticide active ingredients registered under the European Biocidal Products Regulations (Class PT18) and has an amazing portfolio of active substances. It is well placed to provide new solutions in an environment where intense regulatory pressure will limit the future use of many existing products\u201d.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h4>New ownership for moth control system<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The pheromone based moth mating disruption products Exosex SP tab and Exosex CL tab have a new owner. International Pheromone Systems Ltd. better known as IPS has announced that it has acquired outright the Exosex Technology from Exosect Ltd. This change of ownership will not impact on supply of the product as Pest Trader will continue to be the exclusive European supply partner for the Exosex Technology. Pest Trader has been working closely with IPS to ensure a smooth transition of supply.<\/p>\n<p>Graeme Hartley, Managing Director of IPS stated \u201cThe acquisition of the Exosex Technology is a perfect fit with our company development in the pest management market. Our production and development experience allied with the increasing market presence of the Pest Trader organisation will assure the future development of both Exosex SP and CL tab products\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>David Loughlin, owner of Pest Trader commented \u201cWe have been impressed by the positive attitude and clear expertise of Graeme and the IPS team.
