FAOPMAâs annual conference is an international event for pest control industry in Asia and Oceania
region. FAOPMA has held 27 conferences in various countries since it was established until 2016. These
conferences had lasting positive impact on the pest control industry. In 2016, with the joint efforts of all
member countries, the two major international conferences-FAOPMA and Pest Summit-were integrated,
and FAOPMA-PEST SUMMIT 2017 was successfully held in Thailand with overwhelmingly positive
feedback, far-reaching international influences and high level of satisfactions from all participants.
2018 is the second year after the integration of FAOPMA and Pest Summit, and it is Chinaâs second
term as the seat of Chairperson of FAOPMA. 2018 will be the year for this great industry event to return to China after 9 years.
Joint Conference between FAOPMA and Pest Summit with Unprecedented Exposure
2nd WIN international Conference on “Integrated approaches and innovative tools for combating insecticide resistance in arbovirus vectors”
Organized jointly by the French Institut de Recherche pour le DĂ©veloppement (IRD) and Duke-NUS Medical School of Singapore, the conference will serve as a forum for addressing the progress, research gaps and priorities for the control of vectors of emerging arboviruses and the management of insecticide resistance. The conference has been labelled ââFrance-Singapore Year of Innovation 2018″.
The conference will facilitate the involvement of scientists, stakeholders, members of the private and public sectors, and decision makers from around the world to share knowledge and ideas and to provide recommendations for the improvement of insecticide resistance surveillance and deployment of innovative vector control tools.
