We would like to warmly invite you to attend the 14th European Vertebrate Management Conference (EVMC 2025), which will be organized in Ankaran, Slovenia, between 12th and 16th May 2025.
The conference is a next step in a chain of previous meetings known as EVPMCs, but this time without P (for pest) as there was a general agreement to omit any possible stigmatization of different vertebrate species and, consequently, allow the event to be more inclusive. Even more so than in the past, it will be a platform to present insights into recent findings on vertebrate ecology, ecosystem role/value of different species, hunting, behaviour, intra- and interspecific interactions as well as human-wildlife coexistence, conflicts, and population management. In this respect, the number of emerging topics and new scientific findings that will be presented at the conference is expected to further increase.
The conference will focus on the newest and the most exciting topics covering a wide range of disciplines and taxa including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, small mammals, lagomorphs, ungulates, mesocarnivores, and large predators. Specific symposia will include the following topics: Ecology, physiology and behaviour; Taxonomy and genetics; Population monitoring and management; (Invasive) alien vertebrates; Crops and urban systems; Health, zoonotic pathogens and parasites; Rodenticide resistance; New tools and methods; Human-animal conflicts and Social dimension; and Free topics.
During the conference, the broad international community of scientists and experts in vertebrate ecology, conservation and management will have opportunity to share own experience and the latest scientific findings, but also to renew friendships and increase collaboration at a global scale.
We hope you will be able to attend EVMC 2025, and that the event will present a memorable experience for you!
See you in Ankaran, Slovenia!

on behalf of the Organizing Committee and the International Steering Committee
Dear Colleagues,
Three years after the success of the 1st International Electronic Conference on Entomology (IECE) I have the great pleasure to welcome you to the 2nd IECE, organized and funded by Insects, a Q1 journal (ISSN 2075-4450, IF: 2.7) in category “Entomology”. Insects continuously generate huge global issues, e.g., outbreaks, considerable losses in agricultural production, transmission of various diseases, seriously injuring humans and animals, increased resistance to insecticides, difficulties of effective management, enigmatic biology and ecology, gaps in the composition and mutations of genes, disorder of diversity due to natural destructions. Therefore, research is the obligatory path to handle all these current challenges and, simultaneously, improve our perception to foresee the upcoming ones. The 2nd IECE aims to unite entomologists all over the world to communicate their top research outcomes from basic and applied point of view that will be rapidly published in variable ways after peer reviewing process. The meeting includes these latest research topics:
S2. Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, and Genomics;
S3. Behaviour, Biology, and Physiology;
S4. Biodiversity, Climate Change, Conservation, Ecology, and Evolution;
S5. Pest Management, Pesticide Resistance, and Toxicology;
S6. Forest Entomology and Urban Entomology;
S7. Social Insects;
S8. Medical and Veterinary Entomology
Prof. Dr. Nickolas G. Kavallieratos,
Agricultural University of Athens, Greece
Chair of the 2nd International Electronic Conference on Entomology
Following the success and growth over the last three years, IBMA UK and NP BioHUB are pleased to announce the NewIPM – Working Together Symposium, scheduled for 8-10 September 2025 at the Great Hall, Bay Campus, Swansea University, Swansea, UK.
This symposium will bring together experts from interdisciplinary research, industry, growers, policymakers, funders, and investment stakeholders to discuss the latest advancements in the field of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Topics will include biocontrol, the use of microbial and natural products as biostimulants and biopesticides, as well as multifunctional microbes for enhancing crop production and protection. The event will also explore soil health, IPM in forestry, and the role of IPM in preserving biodiversity, particularly pollinators such as bees.
A key feature of the symposium is its focus on collaboration across sectors. Sessions will cover cutting-edge technologies like AI, robotics, and consumer psychology in the development and implementation of IPM products and strategies. The event will also offer exhibition and networking opportunities, fostering cross-sector partnerships.
A dedicated session will also address funding and investment opportunities for collaborative research, product development, and business growth.

Dear colleagues,
The Arab Society for Plant Protection, in collaboration with the National Higher School of Agronomy as representative of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Directorate of Plant Protection and Technical Control as representative of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in Algeria, is honored to invite all those working in the field of plant protection in the Arab region and abroad, including academics, researchers and students in different universities, as well as those working in research centers, to participate in the 14th Arab Congress of Plant Protection, which will be held in Algiers during the period 3-7 November 2025 under the theme “Plant Health for Sustainable Food Security.”
The congress will include high-level lectures presented by Arab and foreign researchers that will form the backbone of the conference program, in addition to a one-day agricultural-touristic trip to historical, cultural, and agricultural landmarks in Algeria.
The congress will provide opportunities to build new professional relationships and strengthen old ones with colleagues from around the world who have common interests through scientific seminars, oral and poster presentation sessions, or by visiting the exhibition accompanying the congress. This congress will be an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish partnerships between universities and research centers and to learn about the latest developments in the field of plant protection in the Arab world about the spread of diseases and the impact of climate change on pests, in addition to ways for their monitoring, control and reducing their impact on Arab food security.
The various social activities (welcome reception, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lunch, and gala dinner) will also serve as an informal interaction between participants from different countries who work in institutions with diverse interests representing the private and public sectors, which will contribute to the formation of new professional ties that will play an active role in establishing scientific cooperation that can grow over time into joint research projects.
We look forward to welcoming you to Algeria in the fall of 2025.
