The 13th Arab Conference of Plant Protection @ Le Royal Hotels & Resorts
Oct 16 – Oct 21 all-day

On behalf of the Arab Society for Plant Protection and the Organizing Committee of the 13th Arab Congress of Plant Protection, we invite you to participate in our coming congress to be held at the “Le Royal” Hotel, Hammamet, Tunisia, during the period October 16-21, 2022 with the general theme “Plant Health for a Secure and Safe Food”. Excellent scientific presentations by Arab and Foreign speakers will be the backbone of our congress, in addition to one day agricultural and touristic tour to visit historical and cultural sites in Tunisia.

During five days, there will be plenty of opportunities for networking with colleagues during the symposia, concurrent oral and poster sessions or when visiting exhibition stands. In addition, social functions (welcome reception, morning and afternoon coffee breaks, lunch breaks and gala dinner) will be an appropriate occasion to interact informally with colleagues from different countries representing different institutions, public and private, who share common interests. Such interactions is a golden opportunity for initiating scientific exchange which can lead later to a formal or informal professional collaboration.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Tunisia in 2022.

NEW IPM 2023 – One Health @ Swansea University
Sep 5 – Sep 7 all-day

NEW IPM 2023 – One Health – International Symposium and Networking Event

For the second year running, Swansea University has been chosen as the host for this prestigious event which focuses on new and developing innovative programmes in Integrated Pest Management (IPM). The symposium, led by the Natural Products BioHUB and IBMA, offers a unique opportunity for researchers, technologists and end users to hear from others working in the field and to exchange ideas. As human, animal, and plant health are inextricably interlinked with each other and the environment, ‘One Health‘ is an integrated, unifying approach that aims to sustainably balance and optimise the health of people, animals and ecosystems. IPM programmes aim to reduce inputs of pesticides that are harmful to humans and the environment and thus contribute to the global ‘One Health‘ vision.

The BCPC Congress 2023 @ Cedar Court Hotel,
Nov 7 – Nov 8 all-day

Shaping the future of crop protection

The annual BCPC Congress will return to the Cedar Court Hotel, Harrogate on 7-8 November.

The event will deliver a programme of relevant, engaging presentations from influential industry and government representatives, academics and leading consultants.

The congress will open the first morning with a focus on global food security and securing green food chains. Throughout the morning, independent and commercial experts will look at the challenges of supplying a rapidly expanding UK and global population with safe, affordable and nutritious food through resilient food chains that minimise the impact on the wider environment.

After the plenary session, the programme will split into two streams for the afternoon:

  • Stream A will focus on Regulatory Affairs (chaired by Iain Watt, TSG Consulting)
  • Stream B will look at new approaches to crop protection, problems and opportunities (chaired by Henry Creissen, SRUC)

The second day of the congress will highlight some issues that are likely to impact on the use of pesticides in the UK, including an update on the National Action Plan for pesticides, the adoption of IPM, making space for nature, pesticides in water and the influence of farmer generated data.

The congress will conclude with an update from HSE Chemicals Regulation Division (CRD) and an interactive workshop.

There will be an opportunity to engage with like-minded experts during the pre-event welcome drinks reception. Our exhibition area will again provide a lively and interesting networking space for all delegates and the BCPC Award will be presented during the second drinks reception after day one.
